Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest department in the college recently completed its silver jubilee function in the year 2010. Department is accredited by national board of accreditation, now department has again applied for further extension for accreditation and NBA committee will visit soon. Last year department has permanently accredited by Institution of Engineers, (India) Kolkata. The department has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty with average experience of the faculty is more than 10 years. Currently four faculty member has completed Ph.D. and 2 faculty members are doing Ph.D.

Department has started M.E.(Machine design) course from the academic year 2010-11 with intake of 18 students per year currently running with full strength.

Till date almost 28 students have secured university ranking with 9 gold medals in NMU Jalgaon. Department has Well furnished laboratories of investment more than One Crore which includes CNC lab. I.C. Engine lab. Measurement and Metrology lab. with 3-D Co-Ordinates Measuring Machine, Mini steam power plant. Dynamics of Machinery lab. Ultra modern CAD center with PRO-E, CATIA, SOLID EDGE, ANSYS Software with latest configuration PC. The department has a separate 10MBps Internet connectivity. All Departmental laboratories are recognized for research work under North Maharashtra University Jalgaon to do research (Ph.D.) along with three recognized faculty as Guides..
